Comments

Contact and Newsletter Forms

When visitors submit information through a contact form on the site we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Information submitted through a contact form will not be used for marketing purposes.

When visitors subscribe to receive the email newsletter on the site we collect the data shown in the subscription form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Store Purchases

When visitors make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through our website store, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, phone number (optional), billing address, and payment information (including credit card numbers, debit card numbers, Apple Pay wallet numbers, Google Pay wallet numbers, and account numbers with Bancontact, giropay, iDEAL, Sofort, SEPA Direct Debit, and Przelewy24 (P24)).

Google Analytics

This service tracks website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics.

MailChimp

This service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications (name is for “personalization” of communication). Please refer to Mailchimp’s privacy policy for further information.

WooCommerce Payments (Powered by Stripe)

This service is used as the payment gateway on our online store to process and support payments. Information collected includes billing and payment information. For more information, please refer to Stripe’s privacy policy.

Akismet

This service is used to prevent comment spam. Information is collected about visitors who submit a comment, which may include the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Embedded Content

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Links To Other Sites

How Long Your Data is Retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Newsletter subscription information is retained indefinitely to continue to provide our Service. Each newsletter will provide an easy way to opt out of receiving future emails, at which point your information will be removed from our database.

Contact form entries are retained for six months. Store transaction data is maintained for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Analytics records are retained indefinitely.

You may contact Epic Travel Plans to access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal information.

Disclosure of Information

Epic Travel Plans will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We do not automatically log personal data nor do we link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals. We may use IP addresses to compile and provide aggregate statistics about our visitors, traffic patterns, and administer the site. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We collect only the personal data that you may volunteer while using our services. We do not collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organizations.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
